Login Help

I have never logged in to Medsis before

In order to login you need a valid PIN (Personal ID Number) and password or a UTORid registered in the system.
User accounts are maintained by the Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) office at the University of Toronto.

  • If you are a current University of Toronto undergraduate medical student, you have automatically been registered with MedSIS to login with your UTORid. You will be advised when your access to the system has been granted by email during your first year orientation. If you have any concerns or questions about access or are having trouble logging in, please contact the UME MedSIS team at medsis.ume@utoronto.ca.

  • If you are a teacher, you will only need to login to MedSIS if you have evaluation responsibilities. You will receive an e-mail notification which includes your login information only when an evaluation needs completed. If you believe you should have been notified already but have not received any e-mail from MedSIS, please contact the UME MedSIS team at medsis.ume@utoronto.ca.

    Enabling login by UTORid:
    • You will need to know your UTORid and password.
    • If you have not already done so, please go to UTORid Password Reset & Account Management (https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/acctrecovery.pl) to setup your preferred method of resetting your UTORid password.
    • Login to MedSIS using your existing MedSIS PIN and password.
    • Go to My Profile and enter your UTORid in the UTORid field.
    • Click on "Save".
      Your existing pin and password will no longer work once a UTORid has been registered for your account.
    • Logout and re-login using the "Continue to UTORid Login" link

  • If you are an administrator (course assistant, site coordinator, course director, academy staff member, etc.) and have not received a welcome e-mail from MedSIS with your login information, please contact the UME MedSIS team at medsis.ume@utoronto.ca. Please include your job title, site, course (if applicable) and contact information.

    Enabling login by UTORid:
    • You will need to know your UTORid and password.
    • If you have not already done so, please go to UTORid Password Reset & Account Management (https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/acctrecovery.pl) to setup your preferred method of resetting your UTORid password.
    • Send a request including your UTORid to the UME Medsis team at medsis.ume@utoronto.ca
      Your existing pin and password will no longer work once a UTORid has been registered for your account.
    • You will be advised once your UTORid login is active.
    • Logout and re-login using the "Continue to UTORid Login" link

I've logged into MedSIS before but can't now
  • I've forgotten my login information.

  • I know that my PIN and Password are correct, but the system won't let me login.
    • If you are using the numeric keypad on your keyboard to input your login information on the MedSIS login page, please ensure that your 'NumLock' keyboard key is on.
    • If you are attempting to access MedSIS from a school, business, or government office, you may be attached to a LAN (local area network) and behind a firewall. In this case, please contact your system administrator for assistance.
    • If you are still having difficulty logging on, please contact the help desk at medsis@knowledge4you.com
